Last year in May, this was an inquiry from Manswers viewers (the show on Spike TV that broadcasts trivial information for dudes and dudes ears only), and the Manswers television crew hoped to find an answer to this proverbial question by interviewing our lab. The segment wasn’t aired until mid-December, but it is still entertaining to watch….
The topic warrants further investigation because my lab wonders why Syrian hamsters are highly efficient at metabolizing ethanol. It must have been naturally selected at some point throughout the evolution of the species. Anyone?
